Still, the debate has shaken the public's confidence in Biden's cognitive abilities to the point where I do think a Kamala Harris campaign is marginally the better option. I say that as someone who considers Biden the best president in my lifetime (which started in the Clinton administration)

The rasp in his voice also makes me believe the explanation that he had some form of cold further hampering his performance. That's still bad for a president, but it is workable. I still think a Biden candidacy and presidency could work.

The debate performance was awful, but I don't buy the characterization that Biden was so far gone he literally didn't know where he was. What I do think is that his age has caused his speech to slow and that it sometimes takes him a few seconds to come up with the right words.

I definitely think there's still a path forward to the white house for Biden if he stays in, but it will be an even steeper uphill battle than it already was. And I think he could still be a pretty good president.

my take on Biden and the debate is that he should probably step down and let Harris take over. If he does step down Harris seems by far the safest replacement. That being said, I do think it's worth taking a couple of weeks to see if Biden can convince the country that the debate was a fluke...

I'm actually slightly torn on this. If I'm finding the right hotel, it's actually about a mile away from disney springs, not in it, like the tweet says, but it's still a hotel that advertises its proximity to disney world, meaning a lot of families with children will probably be going there...(1/?)
