Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1,000 a month.
Results showed that close to half of the participants secured housing, and nearly $600K saved in public service costs due to fewer ER visits & jail stays. They also saw improved mental health.

In the end I forced myself out into the sunshine. I do not get enough natural vitamin D. You have to take lots of breaks on a Sunday, I don’t make the rules!

Haha! Yes my son is 28 and lives in a whole other city, when he comes to stay he often has a night out with pals, cue much worrying when I wake up at 4am and he’s still not back 🤣 I don’t even think about it when he’s in his own place. I think something just kicks back in 😂

I don’t know if this is a good or bad time to tell you but I don’t think it goes away! It’s because they are just too precious and it is the worst of fears.

I understand it more when folk say that they don’t feel the people standing in elections represent them. They feel disenfranchised and so won’t be voting but when people are not interested at all, it’s perplexing.

So true. The electoral commission have said ‘We’ve found that young people, students and those who have recently moved are least likely groups to be registered’.

It’s a huge worry, like when people say ‘I don’t do politics’. I’m sorry what now, it impacts your whole entire life.

Gov website: ‘You can register to vote anonymously if you're concerned about your name and address appearing on the electoral register for safety reasons’. However, there are real concerns about the numbers eligible who still aren’t registered. It’s worrying.

I made this Pride flag using only NASA images and our team thought it would be cool to share on social (I work on the NASA heliophysics communications team), but it's getting all sorts of hate on the bird app and Fbook. Thought y'all might be more appreciative of it here. ☺️🏳️🌈💖

Wow! That’s brilliant. I wish it was the same here. Here there’s just lots of buck passing, legal wrangling and slopey shoulders. Some people have to pay hundreds each month for a waking watch. I am lucky not to have to do that. Small blessings.

A horrifying 8 million people are not registered to vote. Pass this on:
A General Election has been called for 4 July 2024. Register to vote by 11:59pm on 18 June 2024.
