right there with you. And then there is the added complication of when someone else has already done something similar. I’m totally unwilling to look at it before doing my own thing and I’m sure that they have implemented the platonic ideal and that there is no way I could match it.

In 2013, BuzzFeed installed a cold brew machine in the NYC office. I was working in SF at the time. Just from watching the slack, I could tell something was off. People were WILDING OUT. Turns out, they were drinking pure concentrate. The person who set up the machine didn’t connect the water. 😳

You're not wrong. Although now I'm seeing the outlines of a future where all software written from 2023 forward that can't *prove* ChatGPT wasn't used turns out to be copyleft because of the large amount of GPLed code in the training set.
