I thought I was the only one who did that. I don’t necessarily feel much pain at all while I’m doing it and know I should stop. And then I pay dearly for it later. Taking a regular break to give myself some time to gauge my ability to continue helped immensely. You’ll figure out what you need.

I used to kick in those doors too. But I’ve been damaged for over half my life now and know how pacing saves the body and sanity. It’s so awesome that you found a good line of products that help. They can be lifesavers. But the pacing is still an important skill.

I paywall almost nothing on patreon.com/mattbc. Why? I've been very, very poor; I've relied on SSI, Medicaid & SNAP.

But I do greatly appreciate folks who are able to subscribe at any dollar level. It let's me continue doing this public health communication work.

Friends, the “People’s CDC” is not a reliable source of information, nor are they a good faith actor. Neither FDA nor CDC want to restrict access to the fall booster for the 2024-2025 Covid season. Their claim otherwise is fear-mongering bullshit.

Pfizer produces the Covid treatment Paxlovid for $13. They’re charging $1390 for it. Pfizer donated $5.7 million to members of Congress since Covid began to get government contracts and keep drug prices high. Price gouging is legal because our campaign finance laws are broken.

Right? And we, as a social body, did a better job at recycling the containers that were used. Glass drink bottles were regularly returned, as were cans and other metals. It was just what we did.
