My lack of nationalistic impulses made exiting evangelicalism a bit easier after ~35 years in that world. I'd walked out of more than one church service where the jingoism became overt. Flag worship always offended me. Even more so now.

I'm not thrilled with Biden, but I'm ignoring the bullroar because DJT as President is an existential threat to me. DJT said he wants "others" out of the country -- this means YOU if you are BIPOC, LGBTQIA, or otherwise non-normative.
