AVG really, REALLY wants me to know my paid subscription ends in a little over a week. They're letting me know by having a message pop up every couple hours on my computer. There is no way to stop this happening. Which makes me want to look for another anti-virus option.

I am in surprisingly good repair for my age. Not condition. I really need to get into an exercise regimen. But my joints mostly work the way they're supposed to and my eyes only need reading glasses on occasion. Still have a goodly amount of hair. So...win?

I know a lot of people think that Sword & Sorcery means people wield swords and use magic, but that's not what the term means.

Would love to see a great Sword & Sorcery TV show. No, not High Fantasy like LotR or Wheel of Time. Sword & Sorcery, like Conan (supposedly in the works) or Fafhrd & the Gray Mouser (damn, would LOVE to see a great F&GM series). Fast paced, action packed, with large dollops of horror in the mix.

The NYT wants to be the paper that forced a President to drop out. They don't care that it would break coalitions, organization and leave us with unknowns who can't even get on all the state ballots. Democrats, stop panicking and put the heat back on the fascist felon.

Hooked up a Wi-Fi extender in the house. Signal looks MUCH stronger in my room. I know that's how it's supposed to work, but so often these days things don't work like they're supposed to. (See: Supreme Court.)

Latest CNN polling: Republicans think Trump should be immune for his official acts. But with a generic president (i.e. no named attached), Republicans don't think the president should be immune from prosecution. No point arguing rationally with them. They just want to win at any cost.

I'll admit, it seems strange to me how many people put so much weight on political debates these days. We've got 24 hour news networks, countless websites (including those belonging to the candidates), and endless commentary. We don't need debates to inform us. They're just dog and pony shows.

Perusing social media & the news this morning and it looks to me like some folks were expecting Biden to channel Richard Gere in CHICAGO and "Give 'em the Old Razzle Dazzle" last night. Now, they're catastrophizing his debate performance because he didn't put on tap shoes and dance on the podium.

One man last night proved he is unqualified to be President. It was the convicted felon and adjudicated rapist who lied more than 50 times and refused to answer questions about the deadly insurrection he planned and launched against our nation. The other guy had a cold. End of.

I've tried every way listed on the web to turn it on. Except popping off the back of the set and fiddling with the wires/connections. Today I finally took that last step. I'm astonished to report that it worked. The Wi-Fi is now active and the TV is connected to the Internet. 2/2

My TV is supposed to be Wi-Fi enabled. As long as I've owned it, the TV has displayed a message that said the Wi-Fi is turned off. Unfortunately, there seemed to be no way to turn it on. 1/2

I'm curious: Just who was spending their time poring over the MTV News website? Obviously I'm missing something about why people are worked up about the disappearance of this stuff. Possibly because I grew up in an era when most media aired once and was gone. If you missed it, you missed it.

I'll say this for BATMAN '89: It paved the way for the best version of Batman ever outside of the comics -- BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES! (Not to mention all the work I got doing comic stories set in the DCAU.)
