Hey friends
I'm a wreck right now.
My wife has been having stomach issues for weeks. No matter how many times I told her, she wouldn't go to the ER.
Well, she walked in and they admitted her right away.
Ladies, why you gotta be so stubborn? ๐
In the hospital caring for my aunt. A Belgian priest comes over and takes both my hands. I think โPlease not religion, not now.โ He says: โYou need to take care of yourself or you will be no good to your aunt or anybody.โ He saw how I looked and it was great advice and memorable. So take careโฆ
Because
1. We juggle so many things in our lives for so many people, we donโt have time to stop or slow down
2. When we do see about our health, providers donโt take our pain seriously and blame our weight instead of finding the problem
3. In the US, thereโs a financial consideration to evaluate
1/2 I got the stomach flu one mothers day, literally thought, I need the ER, as I lay on the bathroom floor. Week and a half later, flu was gone, but exhausted and heartbeat was weird. Finally went to the doc... day later, in ICU with no measurable red blood cells and about half the normal volume
We are invincible, my broken foot is a prime example that women are just as dumb as men, when it comes to being a human, who thinks itโs not as bad as it is๐๐ณ๐๐๐คญ๐hope wife feels betterโฆ
Shes lucky she had someone hounding her to finally go. 20 years into marriage Iโve discovered thatโs what love is. Annoying each other towards a longer life.
Hope she feels better asap
Stubborn, often. Ignored, constantly. We go in for help and are told weโre stressed or overreacting. Often we wait because we donโt expect real help.
Cause when you seek medical intervention they ask if you're pregnant, make you take a test, then tell you it's probably just your period and/or anxiety and send you home. In the USA this costs about 2 grand
We are taught to minimize our pain. From a very early age. And care for others before ourselves. We are taught that we should die on the cross before we 1. break a sweat doing everything for everyone, or 2. [gasp] ask for help.
buddy my wife is the same.
me: i'm taking you to the ER
wife: NO !!
me : why ?
wife : I'm afraid of what they MAY FINE !!!
me : why i'm taking you now

๐๐ผMy wife had similar issues. After finally going, they removed a mass in her stomach. Testing indicated Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Sending thoughts and prayers for her and your family.
Talk to the woman. My sister had "stomach trouble," just before a planned Thanksgiving family reunion. By Christmas, she was gone. Don't **** around with this.
