Composer William Grant Still (d. 1978) born May 11, 1895, Mississippi. Raised at Little Rock, Arkansas, where he graduated MW Gibbs High School. His papers are in special collections at the University of Arkansas (I’ve read some of them).

In front the Eighth Circuit last week an attorney representing the state of Arkansas said they contested no factual claims about gender-affirming care made by a federal judge who threw out the state's ban, but still asserted the state's right to ban it. It was never about the evidence.
