90% of the best moments of the Paper Cuts podcast is when Jonn is either being faced by something he doesn't understand or when he is forced to talk about weird sex acts!

David Tennant should put out a statement simply saying “Don’t you think they look tired”.

I'm so sorry it is getting hate. It is such a beautiful image with such a beautiful message. I hope the messages of love outweighed the hate!

I made this Pride flag using only NASA images and our team thought it would be cool to share on social (I work on the NASA heliophysics communications team), but it's getting all sorts of hate on the bird app and Fbook. Thought y'all might be more appreciative of it here. ☺️🏳️‍🌈💖

I would also argue that we have to acknowledge the lack of resistance from the status quo, whether that was the euro-sceptic Cameron or the anti-EU left in power in the Labour Party. Also, we can't forget that Labour was still licking its wounds after Scotland so was more cautious in their campaign

It depends on how you define reset. If you mean starting again, I disagree. They just need to allow a few of their heroes to be street level (like the original Ant Man films & Spiderman: Homecoming) who deal with crime bosses

I think the reason why they don't have the intimate fight between father and son is because all Marvel movies now seem to require the Earth to be in danger and the hero to save the day. As Grant Morrison once said, "superhero movies need to get back to stopping bank robberies!"

That culture built up in Star Wars because there was so little of it but it had a huge fanbase who was desperate for more of what they loved.

I think a lot of older movies hide the backstory in dialogue. Lines like: Strasser: My impression was that he's just another blundering American. Captain Renault: We musn't underestimate "American blundering". I was with them when they "blundered" into Berlin in 1918.

I didn't know about that book. I'll need to hunt it down and read it. I really enjoy the over-the-top, operatic scope of Death Comes to Time. Something that no TV episode of Who has ever managed to top.

I think in normal times Sunak would not have made it as far as a great office of state. His achievements and his working style are that of a minister of state and that's where he would likely have stayed - he might have had a disastrous year in a relatively junior role a la Robert Jenrick at a push.

Whenever a headline says “famous person weighs in on woke debate/ trigger warnings” etc etc - remember they were probably forced to come up with an opinion as a journalist threw demands of answers at them knowing that would be better clickbait that actually talking about what they wanted to

Those online shorts were a weird time in Doctor Who history. I think there were three in total and all set in alternative canons as far as I could see. Someone should do retrospective on all three!

I agree with all your points but I'd add one thing: how Sunak be popular enough to become PM in those eras. His personal rating were due to the policies he was forced to deliver during COVID but weren't his choice. Without Covid, he is just another dull cabinet minister we would forget in a year?

What doesn't help this kind of fights/action set pieces is they go on too long in modern cinema. Even the difference between the mine chases in the first Lord of the Rings and the first Hobbit movies is huge.
