They managed to bring red kites back to a decent population around here and it's amazing how fast it goes from "wow those are rare" to "oh yeah, kite, look at its stupid wiggling tail"

From Spain, is one of our proudest ecological achievements. There are even traffic signs flashing when a lynx is detected close to the road to prevent killings (one of the main causes of deaths). Great scientific work.
