Every physician and epidemiologist who signed the Great Barrington Declaration should be shamed mercilessly for the rest of their careers or at least until they apologize and admit just how wrong they were to sign a declaration that mathematical modeling shows killing vastly more people.

We need to start treating politics like the actual highly consequential of not country defining / ending role politics actually plays and/or will play in society. This is actually part of the reason people don’t pay enough attention to the actual reality and consequences of elections.

Google “Massachusetts crisis pregnancy” and this link pops up. It’s part of a statewide campaign, including public signage (highway billboards!), urging people to avoid crisis pregnancy/anti-abortion centers. The Commonwealth is not fucking around with this.

If you are fine with having someone who will actively thwart any future attempt you may have to get the to listen to you or your advocacy position, then you aren’t actually serious about creating change. If you want change, get in the arena and start doing the work.

As a person who has worked in advocacy spaces and political organizations for over a decade, who has been in the arena and tried to move the needle forward, I will tell you that change is hard fought and you need people in positions of power on your side of the aisle to effect change.
