Based on the article, the env'tl nonprofits said CEQA streamlining could have raised transmission lines above state parks & wildlife areas. But their demand was not to remove streamlining just for those areas, but everywhere! Lackwits

Not a lawyer, traditionally they need a test case, but I wonder if a new court could set a new precedent of undoing antidemocratic decisions sua sponte. Arguably the current majority started it with stuff like declaring pardons immune despite pardons not being in the Smith case.

I really have lost my former tolerance for "we're doomed/fucked/it's all over/they've won" takes at this point, in that they're the most dangerous attitudes one could possibly have when confronted with a truly existential political threat (which we still DO have levers to address).
