A friend of mine who is a lefty firearm instructor in CT said that the libs up there are just now coming around to the idea of getting strapped. Too bad it's too late in CT, with an average of 8-10 weeks to process applications and the whole "practice" thing.

Like historically, yes, "Christopaganism" was a thing. It was also almost always a prelude to full conversion. Does that make it an invalid spiritual and religious paradigm? No. Does it undermine the efforts at Pagans and polytheists at carving their own space and developing their traditions? Yes.

I've softened my approach over the years, but I try to contextualize it as a space-specific concern. There are gobs of Christian and Christian-adjacent spaces for them to engage in. Pagan spaces are fewer and far between and it's hard enough with intrafaith discussion.

There's definitely a growing interest in Christopaganism among newer Pagans, too, as I've observed it in my small corners of the Paganosphere. I'm not sure if it's a way to mollify societal and familial expectations, or just because the pressures of overculture are so thoroughly ingrained in them.

RIDOT received absolutely zero bids to rebuild the the bridge that almost collapsed in December. This is a major arterial route (I-195) and one that I would take fairly frequently when I lived in East Providence to get across the river.

It wasn't much of a leap of logic, either, if you take into the account of the attacks on the museum in Berlin. It wouldn't have been so long before they moved on from attacking "historic representations of Satanism" to attacking the people who used those histories for inspiration.

When QAnon was in full tilt (c. 2019ish) I genuinely thought we would have seen more attacks on Pagans. I believe that I was proven wrong not because it's not possible, but because the movement fell apart like any apocalyptic prophecy organization does.
