I say this because this is something _I_ used to do, and you're mirroring it perfectly. Take a step back, take a deep breath. It's not that dire, the dichotomy doesn't exist, TC is saying what's on the tin and there's no "between the lines" here. Ideological purity leads to some bad shit.

Yes, but it would be for important shit (none of which uses Generative AI) like AI assisted cancer identification, protein folding, AGI research, and automation of menial repetitive tasks. GenAI is some of the BIGGEST bullshit out there.

Getting this error corrected starts by having to _go to court and contest the ticket_ which most people do not have the time nor money (or legal wherewithal) to do. Which kills the emergence/discovery portion of bug hunting. And most municipalities are fine with this.

The phrase "AI" is doing a lot of obfuscation here. There's a lot of good ANI (artificial narrow intelligence) can do in the sciences especially when using the right algorithms for the job. Though I guess techbros will see "AI" and assume generative LLMs are super duper smart.
