Fun parallels--my dad was one of the first two people to "listen" for radio signals from extraterrestrial intelligence; he was Frank Drake's telescope operator for SETI's first Project Ozma scan. He also did design work on Arecibo, the telescope that produced Unknown Pleasure's iconic pulsar cover.
