If you steal $1000, you can be sent to prison.
When health insurance companies steal $50,000,000,000, they get tax breaks, subsidies and government contracts, while the people they steal from die or go into debt.
But keep blaming immigrants and poor people for rising crime.

The Democratic Party this year reminds me far, far too much of Labour 2019, where warring factions' back-biting and mutual sabotage resulted in a landslide victory to a comedy-wigged buffoon….

And although there are good heuristic rules (like 'Believe women', for instance), they're still always only heuristic until stronger evidence shows up — however much that frustrates our urgent desire for certainty.

In the village of C---m there was a man who could not die, who spoke to Hashem day and night, and yet he grew frail and unhappy with his lot.
His children at last asked the Rabbi, Reb, why will God not let father pass to Olam HaBa?
He replied: You would invite a man into your home who won't shut up?

5/ The reason so many here are criticizing @washingtonpost.com and @nytimes.com et al. is that they are only covering one of those stories. By ignoring the real questions about Trump they are creating not merely a distorted picture of this election, but a false one.
They are failing at journalism.

Kaweco's less expensive pens are solid. Many Chinese pens are available for a pittance, but they're a little unpredictable (and not every reseller is helpful). I suppose I'd look for a Parker 45 from a reputable vintage dealer as my top choice.

Use a dot of washing-up liquid — sometimes nibs skip cos there's residual oil on them (especially new pens), and the grease-busting recipe for dish soap helps wash that out.
