Since here come the waves of "Texans got what they voted for," I implore you smug motherfuckers to note that Paxton's *own party* tried to boot him from office months ago, voter disenfranchisement + gerrymandering are rife here, and moreover NOT ALL OF US CAN AFFORD TO ABANDON OUR JOBS AND FAMILIES
I live in Louisiana, I certainly did not vote for any of the ignorant asshole dipshits who claim to represent me (they do not, they represent straight white Christian men and no one else)
The primary runoff also came down to him vs George P. Bush (who is somehow the most ridiculous of all the Bushes). I mean I obviously still voted for Bush but some choice.
And that pretty much sums up why I have spent my life in a very red state myself. Were I an unemployed, single orphan without obligations, Iโd pack up my life and head out
I live in San Francisco and this is the mirror image of right-wingers saying โyou get what you vote forโ whenever anything bad happens here. It sucks across the board regardless.
Id argue its what texans didnt vote for that is the issue. What 80-85% of eligible voters didnt come and do something about and just let it happen. People need to rock up and vote (where the gov hasnt made it impossible ofc) or you get more of the same
