"Unelected right-wing justices, all of whom have a lifetime position, have pulled off what is likely the biggest power grab in American history, knowing full well there’s no way that the other two branches can get it together enough to stop them." -- @snipy.bsky.social

There's no such thing as precedent now. Just need to replace a couple of Justices and venue shop a few challenges to these decisions.

It’s obvious that 2 justices (Alito & Thomas) should have recused themselves from all Trump cases. Both have been doing everything they can do to help Trump win so that they can both retire and be hugely rewarded financially for their efforts. Shame on all 6!

We're done. Stick a fork in the country. But because of the weakening of regulatory agencies on climate change, and a likely administration that will roll back any progress on CO2 eemissions the planet is too.

What would it take to put in place some terms limits for Supreme Court Justices? Asking for a couple hundred million friends

At least now, Biden can legally command the secret services to spy on the Trump campaign and obtain any private communications. This power is endless.

Can Biden now in his official capacity add more Justices to Supreme Court? Say 5?

Don’t forget they’re using that power to back trump. And as the republican congress back him too, they gave nothing to worry about anyway. Because biden sure as hell won’t actually do anything about it and he’s the only one who now has the power to.

I dunno, it might be premature to declare it “complete.” They punted a whole bunch of shit on standing that they’ll bring back next year or whenever it suits them.

Best case scenario, we need to bulldoze the Supreme Court building and put in a parking lot. These people don't deserve palaces, they should work out of the shittiest building in DC with no air conditioning.

It only takes Cingress to rein in the other 2 branches, but it needs to act with a supermajority & has never-not once-done so. Congress can impeach the president, V.P., etc. & all 9 justices any time >50% of the House & 2/3 of the Senate want to. But with our 2-party system, that 2/3 never exists.😥

That's on the Dems in the Senate. Their obsession with adhering to norms is dooming the republic.

The hypocrisy of the GOP is nauseating. McConnell refused to deliberate on Obama’s choice for a SC Judge some 8 months before the election but pushed Trump’s nominee 8 days before our last election.
