So I'm at a friend's birthday party and someone is telling a story of their friend who got bit by a snake and had to get antivenom. $50k worth of antivenom. Poor bastard just started a job and was in between benefits. I had to ask, isn't the eligible for Cobra?

It's good to acknowledge the victim blaming, idk if you already did but sensationalizing a rare occurance in the media is also an issue in swaying opinion. Hopefully the regulations on the crossings was well thought out and the best result is o make them more robust.

Last time I was at a jury duty interview I was getting increasingly annoyed with a woman in the box who worked for a PD, had been married to an officer, had many police friends, and claimed that she could judge fairly for claims against an officer. "I get called often and never served!" No shit.

I play 4-6 hours of GT7 in VR a week. I understand. I also love Walkabout minigolf to the point I considered buying a quest 2 just so we can do multiplayer of it. I was close to spending $200 for minigolf.

I'm the aggressively nice neighbor this year. Neighbors fence is rotted and falling and I need to set some posts anyway so tomorrow I'm (with their consent) ripping up that fence post and leaving them a nice clean hole to set a new one.

Swapped out my power steering pump and added a cooler to the return line. Not a bad job overall, but it'll need a lot more fluid, and that's going to take a moment to get the level right.

And I'm a cheap idiot who does buy pants from Costco occasionally. I had a pair from a few years ago that didn't stretch and were made of a magical weave that always looked good and fit many situations. They just died after years of daily wear.

None of the candidates are talking about the issues that matter to me: 1. Headlights are too bright now, they should be less bright 2. Pasta boxes are only filled halfway, they should be full 3. All pickup trucks should be smaller, as a treat to some and a punishment to others
