It really depends on the brand but older non-computer-having machines can be really solid! I was using my mum’s old Pfaff from the late 80s (I think) up until a few years ago. But when I broke a part it was tough to replace/find someone to fix

Here's an example of an ENGO not thinking about the broader picture, other movements & science when launching a new pollinator initiative. Lights harm moths, migrating birds, fireflies & other wildlife. We should not be encouraging more lights, esp in the name of pollinators

These guys build round walled-off nests out of mud to protect eggs. Males keep the nest defended from predators, and will even adopt unattended nests of eggs they may find! What gentlemen.

After hatching, vinegaroon babies cling to their mother's butt for protection, forming a clump of tangled orbs with legs.
In most species, this lasts for a few weeks, until the dozens of babies are old enough to molt for the very first time. 🎨 🐡
