my understanding was that absurdism and existentialism and nihilism all involve a belief that there's no objective meaning and also that none of them inherently prescribe conclusions to draw from that

i don't disagree because i know what's meant by nihilism here, but i wish people didn't treat nihilism and doomerism as equivalent. there are a lot of nihilists for whom the belief that life has no objective meaning changes nothing about the made-up meaning that's kept them going
