An article in the peer-reviewed medical journal The Lancet, using the conservative estimate of 4 indirect deaths in Gaza for every one direct death (in other conflicts it’s been 3-15x), calculates that Israel has killed approximately 186,000 Palestinians. That is 8% of the population of Gaza.

Politisering omdat er meer aandacht is gekomen voor verscheidenheid aan woonproblemen en voor de structurele en politieke oorzaken van de wooncrisis. Depolitisering omdat er vooral aandacht is voor de positie van middeninkomens en jongvolwassenen, minder voor meest gemarginaliseerde groepen

Het blijft frustrerend dat gedegen onderzoek vaak niet wordt opgepikt maar flutrapportjes van housinganywhere, kamernet etc. breed worden gedeeld. Mijn grootste mediabijdrage afgelopen weken was een paar journalisten overtuigen geen aandacht aan housinganywhere te besteden.

De bestaande woningvoorraad efficiënter benutten is wat mij betreft positief, maar je ziet het van mijlenver aankomen dat dit weer een stok gaat worden om sociale huurders mee te slaan (hen dwingen kleiner te wonen) terwijl huiseigenaren buiten schot blijven

Veel is denk ik afhankelijk van de precieze groep en hun verhuismotivatie (positief/negatief?). En verschillen 'binnen' groepen waarschijnlijk groter dan 'tussen' groepen

Natuurlijk is het ook in veel dorpen niet makkelijk voor jongeren een woning te vinden, maar data laten duidelijk zien dat de toename in thuiswonende jongeren toch echt het sterkst is in en rondom grotere steden
