I think regional variants also tend to make more sense if you try to put Pokémon through a pseudo-naturalist lens. Kind of like how you have similar animals across real world continents with their own distinct characteristics.

Thank you! The body of the hinge is approximately 20 gauge sheet metal. The pin holding it together is 3/16” mild steel. The barrel of the hinge is forge welded to the back.

Completed my first ever “H” cabinetry hinge. This was extremely tricky for me and it ended up being pretty rough, but functional. These are based on 18th century examples which would have been extremely thin as a way of saving on material.
