I know a bunch of folks who worked on it. It's very much like spider verse: looks great because they churned the fuck through a lot of artists who were there for the prestige. But unlike spider verse, the fortiche guys told me that even after all that they were still proud of it 🥲

With the US, it's because it's voting for a president rather than a party alongside with the two party system. That said, the two party system was always more indictive of regional location and being big tent. Becoming hard partisan really was finished in the 1980s-1990s, but still big tent.

50,000 person districts would mean that members of Congress wouldn't be obscure MBAs and lawyers. They'd be high school principals, small businesspeople, local union leaders, activists and charity organizers. Smaller districts also mean cheaper elections, which mean less corporate influence in DC.

If this amendment were law, individual municipalities down to Elkhart, Indiana would have their own House district. Districts that small would also mean that you'd probably be able to reach your Representative much more easily, you might even know them personally.
