Sexual predation is clearly not limited to the arts, and so-called "whisper networks" exist in every profession. And ultimately these networks always, always fail. They don't reach the most vulnerable and they don't ever remove the offender or prevent future harm.

I was talking to someone who acted on a show where it came out that one of the regular directors was acting inappropriately towards some of the women on set. When he found out, he felt like he failed in some way, and I had to do the same "you didn't know because he did it when you're not there."
