Like today’s ruling gives Trump whatever legal freedoms he wants to jail whoever he wants for any reason he wants as long as he gets a corrupt judge to call it official duty. So yah. Giving him a reason to arrest you is not a great idea.

This. I’m angry and I’m going to make sure every single person I know votes for Biden. Whoever votes 3rd party, whoever stays home, whoever leaves the president unchecked, is explicitly telling the world “I am happy with an emperor Trump, I want to end democracy. Personally.”

I’m fine if we uncap executive compensation, but require them to have personal legal responsibility for their company if they earn more than 20x the average employee salary. If your company fucks up - you as CEO are personally, legally responsible.

I have zero idea how they will accomplish it, but I expect them to try — these corporate powers will use the new regulatory open field to solidify monopolies are prevent any future competition. This is how corporate run nation states begins.

My youngest looks at my head and just begins crying that “his daddy is gone”. I try to remind him that I am still here, but work calls. Head chef has quit unexpectedly and they need me to run the kitchen. I don’t know what to do. Stay home and connect with my grieving loved ones…or go to work?

I detest with a passion of a thousand suns any auction house that lets sniping be a thing. I’ve had some good stuff stolen from me by folks who use automated bidding bots. Just extend the auction 5 more minutes after every bid.

This. An artist I work with had this problem. Arses demanded he lower his pricing and they “rewarded” him by immediately reselling the piece. Far too few people enjoy art. Too many supposed patrons just see it as a profit center.

This. I have commissioned two pieces from an artist and apparently of everyone he has worked with, I am only the second person to tell him he has his rates too low. The dude is barely making a living wage already and apparently folks asking for his work are demanding discounts. Pay your artists.

Based on how far right the recent decisions have been, I am fully expecting presidential immunity for Trump to be handed down and delivered in a specific way that does not give Biden the same protection.

Yup. We have to make sure voters know these GOP politicians are preventing them from obtaining life saving procedures. I also fully expect the politicians to have exempted themselves and their doctors from the consequences of these laws. If so, make sure their voters know that too.

Link… The worst part in all of this is that the people making these laws: 1. Do not believe what they preach and are only doing this for the votes. They have no moral center. 2. Have almost certainly ensured safe and secure abortion services for their own families, free from prosecution.
