My last encounter with FedEx they delivered my package to the wrong address. An address so wrong, it didn't match the yard of anyone in my neighborhood. I opened a case with them to find the package, but they closed it after a few days, "since the package had been delivered."

Well mine's not nearly as 'fun', but I once designed and had a biker patch to go on a jacket made for a character I was playing. I forgot to take the jacket off once when filling up for gas and had people asking me what my ride was. Oops.

I always fill the well of my pen nibs but I also only exclusively use them for calligraphy. I've found dipping causes excess filling which either leads to very messy lettering or having to wipe off excess ink from the nib. Could be a peculiarity of calligraphy or I could just suck at dip control.

In those same older editions, Charisma was often a dump stat, because it didn't really *do* much except for turning undead and social skills. So in 5e, to make stats more relevant IMO, multiple classes have it as their primary stat. It works for Paladins because they fill the virtuous knight trope.

The second part deals with mechanics and balance, I think. A common complaint I've seen is that older editions had their attention split along too many attributes, which made it harder for a Paladin to be actually good at Paladining. 2/

That's a multifaceted answer. To the first part, that's entirely dependent on you and your character. Maybe some observant deity decided to grant you power because they like your vibe. Maybe your powers are actually innate but you *think* it's because of your devotion. 1/

I appreciate you realize that it's grammatic pedantry, but it's pedantry based on a house of lies. Since we're in the realm of pedantry, I'd argue that using 'less' and 'which' are *more* correct because *that's how people actually use the language*

No they shouldn't. Grammar rules established by stodgy white men do not dictate how language works. 'Less' being used with countable nouns has been in use in the English language for over a thousand years. The insistence of 'fewer' for countable nouns can be reliably traced to the late 1770s.

I do believe the 'ball' in 'ball bearing' is a descriptor of what kind of bearing it is. Compare, for example, roller bearings. So I think we should be calling them ball bearing balls.

The week before Xmas I found these volumes of Secret Six by @gailsimone.bsky.social for a shockingly low (thank goodness) price, so I did the proper thing and liberated them from retail jail. They're in such good condition they're basically new.
