2007 economic crisis was caused by CDOs crashing but wrongly blamed on working class mortgage access despite those mortgages mostly not being part of CDO collapse. When regs stopped working class mortgage access turned off an important source of new housing helping to cause today's housing crisis

Note on 5: this isn't a mortgage subsidy, but rather changing regulations on mortgages so that working class people and up can easily qualify for mortgages so that they can buy new homes and thus increase the housing supply....

A lot of states have strict district residency requirements for candidates. Combine that with the large amount of elected offices and it makes it harder for local Democratic parties in red states to find people to run. I do agree that Democrats should put more effort into it, through.
