I've watched Killjoys all the way through three or four times now and it just doesn't get old. I love every character, the arcs, the style, the laughs, the emotion, and the big guns. It's wonderful.

I found it really grew on me. Some bits feel a bit forced as though they're trying to capture the old magic, but when it just does its own thing, it's more successful.

The absolutely wild thing is: This goes for ALL social aid. Just *giving people some fucking money,* literally going "OK, how much did you need?", cutting checks, and waving them out the door? COSTS LESS and HAS BETTER OUTCOMES than the current system's bureaucracy and means testing, EVERY TIME.

At the end of May, Kieron was like, it would be cool to do something for the 10th anniversary. And I was like, Bet. And put together a Kickstarter in less than a month. Very grateful to the pals who helped make that possible. It's going to be a beautiful book!

Oh I realise I haven't said it publicly but we've had to push back the launch of One For Sorrow a bit. That's on me - this year has been a LOT for a host of reasons. The good news is I think it's the best work I've ever done and I'm very excited for you to see it when it's out.

I haven't done a re-watch of the seasons, but I do remember season 1 having a very different feeling to subsequent seasons. I actually tapped out after the first episode originally. But was convinced to carry on. I don't recall any other instances like that, but s1e7 does directly address disability

I just found out yesterday that Lower Decks had been cancelled. Which is mind-boggling because it's by far the best Star Trek in YEARS. So much heart. So much awareness of Starfleet's shortcomings yet understanding the point is we try to do better anyway.
