I assume this is a scam, ALTHOUGH. I did buy a MacBook Pro from Amazon recently (March) for EXACTLY $1,499 (too the cent. 14†M1 “Factory-certified pre-own†if you’re curious) Super odd coincidence, or does @anazon have a data leak???? Granted, cheap mbp’s are a common scam.

Drafts are handy on the mobile app where you can't open a half dozen tabs to have all of your copypasta ready! Not having auto-complete for usernames and hash tags on here only compounds the situation. As a result, I just start any post in the notes app if I'm still getting info together! Annoying!

After some research, a simple email/fax blast to other shops might be worth your while…include a redacted copy of the 8k quote and just say something like you need a quote for ‘only the legally obligated repairs to achieve inspection compliance’.

All of the non-emissions related ones I’ve seen are for blatant and simple safety stuff: lights, brakes, mirrors, bald tires, etc. I’m REALLY surprised they can put a worn transmission on that list. What, rough shifting is a safety concern now?

My Cocker Spaniel watches TV obsessively. I can’t play anything with animals (real, cartoon, or costume) without her going apeshit. She has even figured out that I can screen share. Try to show her #DogsOfTwitter on the iPad and she goes to the big TV and barks continuously until it appears there.
