I'm sorry, what? How did any lawyer sign their name to this lawsuit?

Missouri has filed against New York under SOCTUS's original jurisdiction to stay Trump's sentencing.

This suit is garbage, of course. It’s not even clear how Missouri would have standing. But I can envision Thomas and Alito saying, in effect, “let’s hear them out.”

Given that Rudy and Chesebro, et al. were lawyers, it's not surprising.

Yes, it's horseshit. But --- clearly SCOTUS will eat and excrete horseshit these days!

Many lawsuits Republicans file are just for the purpose of making headlines. Many lawyers are facing disbarment over such lawsuits on Trump's behalf.

It's not even an amicus brief? Just straight suing under Purcell that a candidate shouldn't be allowed to be sentenced for crimes?

If you listened to argument or read an analysis of the underlying decision in Murthy v Missouri, the AG is unconstrained by ethical obligations. He should be censured.

Let us stop to honor then-TX Solicitor General Kyle D. Hawkins. He is an ex-Alito clerk & Fed Soc conservative—Stanford students walked out of his talk arguing that DACA was illegal. But he refused to sign Paxton's original jurisdiction lolsuit to overturn the 2020 election. A moment of honor.

Somebody should whisper in Andrew Bailey's ear how things turned out for John Eastman and Rudy Giuliani.

That the Missouri solicitor general is surnamed Divine is just way too on-brand.

They don’t have to 1) fear any consequences now 2) even be real since plaintiffs are now allowed to be fictional so why not

Will Scharf is running to be the MO AG. Scharf has the backing of L. Leo's network along w/ Club for Growth. Bailey's lawfare is to further his career, but it won't work against Scharf because he has been assisting on Trump's defense team on appeals. Bailey is wasting taxpayer $ on several lawsuits.

There was a day in living memory when the Mo AG office was a well-run professional operation. The AGs were politicuans but they let the professionals do the job of representing the State. But in the last decade or so, it has become this horror show of theatric foolishness.

The only explanation that makes sense is brain damage. Self-inflicted brain damage.
