Here's the thing: the people pulling the fire alarm on Trump v. US are people like Radley, Legal Eagle and @kenwhite.bsky.social , etc. I've followed these guys for years and they are not prone to panic-mongering. They're usually the ones saying, "Take a deep breath". It really is that bad.

We are approaching the anniversary on June 12, 1963 of his murder by Byron de la Beckwith, who was found guilty of this crime only in 1994. The day before Evers' assassination, JFK gave his Civil Rights Address and George Wallace made his "Stand in the Schoolhouse Door." A momentous few days.

Some context re this article for non-Texans. Our SCOTX is all GOP. But all the major courts of appeals (divided regionally) are majority or all Dem (both elected). Creating a state-wide COA appointed by the GOP governor with a special docket is a way of avoiding those election Dem COAs

Among the many evils of "crisis pregnancy centers": they are not medical providers and so do not follow HIPAA or medical privacy ethics. Instead, they gleefully give away (to right-wing orgs) and sell (to data brokers) all information you give them. They should be illegal.
