Chevron famously said, "Judges are not experts in the field, and are not part of either political branch of the Government."
Today, Roberts and the other chaos agents on the court say:
"Judges are the only experts in any field, and can dictate policy to either political branch of the Gov't"

The 2024 Presidental Debate - sponsored by Depends.
Note: While I make cracks about their age, I'm more poking fun at what a debacle everything is. Some days it feels like Idiocracy is actually the positive outcome when it comes to the future of the US.

I wonder how many people will watch the debate tonight with it in their heads that one, possibly both, could die from old age up there on stage - so they may as well watch in case history is made.

I wrote about Snyder v US, and how the Supreme Court yesterday legalized vast swaths of corruption for state and local officials of the kind that just happens to look a lot like their own personal conduct. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

I have not tried making rolls yet but I've been making nigiri at home for a couple of months now and now it's hard to justify eating out unless I feel lazy or I want something fancier.

Which politician is going to campaign on OBGYNs also needing to have mammography departments so we can have our tits squished on the same day we have our cave spelunked? That way we can just wrap that whole experience up at once for the year and be done with it.

It's hard to think that our government is for the people. Not when it's proven time and time again it's only for those who have money to get even richer at the expense of the people. www.reuters.com/investigates...

Can't tell you how happy I was that I guessed it was the Fable trailer within the first ten seconds. Sometimes it's hard keeping a "feel" in a series that's had a break for as long as it has.

I've been enjoying slowly finding people I used to follow on Twitter. I missed a lot of their voices - even if some of them didn't always have the best news (like the reality of public health issues). But I had a great collection of artists, scientists, comedians, and just normal people.

Thought from a random... keep it close and personal first so they know you're interested in them as more than a social media story. It's hard to know anyone's intentions nowadays so there might be some skepticism. Best of luck though - I hope you find lots to treasure if you go on that adventure. :)

This D-Day, I'm remembering when we used our might to right those who were oppressed. Not support those doing the oppression.

everyone is the world is playing CYBERSTRUCK, the fun new mandatory game in which you are eliminated when you see your first cybertruck in the wild
rules are similar to whamageddon, but with no end date:
• the cybertruck must be real, in the wild
• as soon as you notice the cybertruck, you are out

This is possibly the best cat name I have heard in a long time. (The last name I marveled at was Cinderblock... which I respect in its simplicity and ability to describe a feline using an unrelated object.)

Really glad to hear they recovered a bunch of these. Still a huge fan of the system (I was in the 5,000s for an order number so I received mine fairly early) and even convinced one of the other parents at taekwondo to get one last week after they saw me playing Stars of the Screen.

Know what's messed up? A piece of advice that parents need to consider now for their kids is not to date someone who is insistent on making them content for their channels. That not everything about their lives needs to be online and they can have some intimacy that allows them to be truthful.
