Just took a drive through central WA and it was a handful of fruit orchards but at least as much hay/alfafa.
Also, wonder what percentage of corn I've ever seen was grown for human consumption versus feed.
I still get likes sometimes from comments I made on a Twitter thread in 2018 that sort of talked about this without spelling out that the vast majority of corn and soybeans grown in the US are industrial varieties. The OP got so frustrated they deleted the thread so idk how people are finding them.
and you'd think they'd be mad at how much of it is for feeding cows in THE RICH MIDDLE EAST. like. excuse me. saudi arabia is basically stealing our water supply?? this doesn't make conservatives mad?
My husband is from Nebraska and there is so much corn there but it is for cattle, corn syrup and ethanol. And the fruits and vegetables in the Wal Mart come from CA and Mexico
