By withholding a ruling on Trump v. United States, the Supreme Court's far-right justices are effectively giving Trump the immunity he's seeking, making it all but impossible for him to face trial before the election for his efforts to overturn the election and his role in Jan 6.

Billionaire Harlan Crow has spent over $13 million on federal politics since the 2010 Citizens United ruling. That’s on top of the years he spent secretly dolling out free vacations to Clarence Thomas. Money in politics is the root of our dysfunction.

260 million Americans will experience temps above 90F this week. Now's a good time to remind you that Trump's inner circle devised a 900+ page plan that includes gutting the EPA, halting clean energy projects, and burning more fossil fuels. It's called Project 2025. Look it up.

Boeing shareholders approved a $33M pay package for CEO Dave Calhoun, despite the company's major safety problems — which Calhoun is testifying about before the Senate today. Calhoun is resigning by year's end. Guess what he gets then? A $45 million golden parachute. Unreal.

Stock buybacks don't just line the pockets of CEOs and shareholders — they're dangerous. Boeing failed to implement a $7B redesign of its 737 Max while spending that much per year on buybacks. A dollar spent on buybacks is a dollar less spent to upgrade equipment and safety.

Typical pay for the 100 highest paid CEOs was over $29M last year. Much of the compensation was tied to stock gains. Just so happens that corporations spent ~$800 BILLION on stock buybacks, which artificially boost share prices. Translation: CEOs are goosing their own pay.

John Deere has laid off roughly 1000 workers so far this year. But the company reported a profit of over $10 billion in 2023. Its CEO received $26.7 million in total compensation. And it spent over $7 billion on stock buybacks. Textbook corporate greed.

The latest numbers show inflation cooling. But rent prices are still high and are the main driver of inflation now. Just so happens that recent investigations have found evidence of algorithmic price-fixing by major corporate landlords. High interest rates won't fix this.

Remember: Trump asked oil execs at Mar-a-Lago for $1 billion for his campaign. In return, Trump pledged to reverse environmental protections and cut their taxes. The deal would net Big Oil $110 billion in tax breaks — 11,000% more than a $1 billion donation. Utter corruption.

Don't tell me we “can’t afford” to fight the climate crisis. A new study found the economic costs of the crisis are 6x larger than previously thought. It's estimated we'll lose 12% of world GDP per degree of warming. Saving the climate is both morally & financially right.

Justice Samuel Alito flew not one, but two pro-insurrection flags at his homes. Alito not being forced to recuse from Trump's immunity case and upcoming Jan 6 cases tells you everything you need to know about the SCOTUS code of "ethics" established last year. Hint: It's a sham.

Trump's Mar-a-Lago trial should've started today, but the judge (whom he appointed) delayed it. The Jan 6 trial should've been in March, but the Supreme Court's MAGA justices delayed that too. If Trump was innocent, you'd think he'd want to clear his name before the election.
