tesla codified what fancy evs look like and it sucks because it's all cost-cutting measures, but it *is* fitting that our era's aesthetic of the future is corporate cost-cutting that makes things a little worse than before. it's the bad kind of fitting, but fitting nonetheless.

if i'm interpreting ball bearing tolerance charts correctly, the earth is more spherical than an average ball bearing (engineers feel free to correct me). you could put several very small earths in a transmission or motor and it would operate just fine.

paint.net has replaced regular paint as my tool of choice for stuff like basic crops and edits at this point since it supports layers and transparency. i haven't done anything more serious for lots of years though.

a career change is trivial but also relatable. i'm solving gender dysphoria by doing things that induce it in cis people. not only that, i've voluntarily rejected my place in society's hierarchies. transitioning would be inexplicable if it weren't the only way i can become happy and self-actualized.

and it sucks that that gatekeeping is still there and that doubt is still sewn, especially when done by fellow queer people. if i hear about somebody transitioning at 60 then i just want to give them a hug for finally figuring it all out.

i honestly have no idea how anybody more than ~10 years ago even managed it. i got lucky a year ago and feel like i just stumbled into hormones. if i'd been born a generation earlier i'd've never figured out what was wrong with me and probably would've shot myself in my 30s.

i unfollowed kenny klips back on twitter when i realized the foia documents had dried up. i've noticed lately that he's posting screenshots of news articles for cheap dunks while not even providing a link.

I had the wild idea to turn my Toyota Prius Prime into a hot hatch with some modifications to things like the suspension and tires and now you can read how I'm going to go about it on @theautopian.bsky.social : www.theautopian.com/im-going-to-...

not sure what you're planning with the power plant, but 1st/2nd gen prius owners found that they could swap their camshafts with echo camshafts. went from 70hp to slightly more than 105hp due to slightly higher compression. i wonder if that's even possible with the dynamic force engines though.

and on the flip side now that everything is streaming and home video releases are going away, the end product that viewers can actually watch looks worse than a bluray from 2008 because the bitrate got crushed to hell.

in order to consume all the content you need to purchase tokens to use the ai article summarizer. this stimulates the economy and increases productivity, somehow.
it feels like the goal is to turn all media into radio static and sell an oracle that will divine signals in the noise.

i can get fedex to print a 12" x 18" sign for $42. that's big enough to fit two of these and then i can cut it in half.
hmm.
that's too much money to spend on a joke impulsively but it's not so much money that i'd never go through it. dangerous to know this.

i've given up saying this because it's a really reliable way to get people mad. stating facts - that this was obviously stupid and illegal - is equated with holding the position that i want the IA to get sued out of existence thanks to copyright laws that i believe are flawless.
