Jesus. Automated enforcement advocates really underestimate the potential for abuse with these cameras. The amount of information they collect is staggering, as is the ability to piece it all together to meticulously track individual people.

The thing about taking statutory interpretation away from the agencies is that Congress actually has power over those agencies, but does not have power over the Court. It’s power grab in the guise of helping; it’s “helping” in a paternalistic, condescending, unchecked manner.

you increasingly start to realize that conservatives aren’t actually interested in history, art, culture, science, etc- they have their own basic preconception of those fields, based around an immutable hierarchy placing white men on top and then they never update their preconceptions
