Nifty, thanks! Your own photo?
It's like one of those science games involving extreme close-ups, where people have to guess what object it's a picture of.
*Makes note to try Silver Needle tea*
Welcome to the zillions of people I followed tonight. π€ Either we have something in common, or you sound passionate about your interests and hobbies. I dig that energy. Realness. (Irony-poisoned cynical types are ruining the internet.)
Here's a mossy frog for you. πΈ

How did I not know that you're on Bluesky?! Hi! (You don't know me. I've seen you around elsewhere on the internet.)
"Witching hour." Duly reposted. π€
I suspect that some of you are feeling this quote, too?
"The most painful anguish that mortals suffer is to understand a great deal but to have no power at all."
βHerodotus
Don't hide your laughter from the world.
Let it echo down darkened alleyways, across empty playgrounds, and throughout misty forests and ancient cemeteries, sending a shiver down the spine of all who hear it.
"Your vibrant green lawn may look lush, but it's actually an ecological wasteland.
"Here's an interactive step-by-step look at what happens when you let your lawn grow: flowering weeds bloom, feeding birds and bees." www.washingtonpost.com/climate-solu...
Todayβs advice from your Goth Auntie
-Stop slouching, drink some water, take your meds.
-Enjoy things unironically. Cringe is dead.
-The Cursed Object has hauled things out of recycling to make a box fort.Β

π±The stems on this Iresine are neon pink. Imagine a long, tall planter with them and a dark-leafed heuchera...Or something with light green flowersππ
#WeekJ J is for Jackdaw = small crow, the jackdaw nests in holes in trees, and on cliffs and buildings; sometimes it will even nest in chimneys! It eats invertebrates, fruit, seeds and carrion.
"But I will wear my heart upon my sleeve For daws to peck at: I am not what I am."
Collecting seeds, rhizomes, and cuttings to mail to everyone who helped me pay for my meds. And after that, everyone who helped with the rabies vax. So much love. π
If you're one of those people, expect a DM soon offering plant goodies in the mail!
I have so many thank-yous to make!
Gymnocalycium. Red and black succulents. Are these real?
I suspect the image on the left is fake. The variant on the right appears to be real. I've seen it elsewhere under different names, as if there's a taxonomy controversy at play here.
Check the Alt text on both images for plant nerdery. ;) π±
Followed every furry artist on Bluesky! That felt addictive.
To shortcut any suspicions of "wanting attention", I have nothing to promote other than my interests and my favourite people. I have no ulterior motives, as far as I know.

I sit down with thinkingispower.com to discuss my new book, as well as social media trolls, online harassment, the anti-psychiatry movement, and alternative medicine grift: πβοΈ
Online harassment, online shaming, and cyberbullying are popping up as central themes in stories. Cool. This makes fiction authors exponentially better-informed than any police station in North America.
Your posts are gold. *Adds you to Rad People list*
*Makes note on phone to pre-order your book when I get my next check*
I'm an armchair scholar in online harassment. There's a 14-year-long hate campaign against me spearheaded by Anonymous and their trolls. (I'm not paranoid; we were allies once.)
I wish NTs would be less insufferable, particularly with the insults they dish out to neurodivergent people. Being publicly called "weird" or "annoying" or "aggressive" has led to horrific abuse in the past. Dehumanization. Ostracization.
Tossing words around can place vulnerable people in danger.
I'm a little confused. Which side/family structure are you arguing for? I see nothing in her speech to disagree with. White settler families *are* atomized, and like her, I don't see that as a good thing.
