The Inside Out characters in my head. Yup…they’ve all become rabid and insane. Merged into a hungry mass of chaos like in the movie Critters. Only emotion left to hold it back is unfortunately Sleepy, the one telling me I’m too tired to go full sicko mode.

As much as the comic industry pisses me off, the joy I get from a fresh comic haul is always there. Not much of a Big 2 reader these days but these cheap manga-ish editions are hard to resist. Sidenote about my madness, I think this is my 4th time buying Allstar Superman. It rules.

Unfortunately a common thing you see on comics because of how the bigger names can’t stop behaving like worms, so totally not you, doesn’t reflect anything on you unless you got it on there after the fact. But I’m self admittedly over judgey and I wouldn’t knock you or your book because of this.

It really is a mess of a page. I have slightly liked his old work before but this is just sloppy and for him to be given kinda a high profile gig, what a waste. Something about these guys who don't want to improve but just ride the wave of previous success will always irk me.

The verdict isn't clear what the hell this BG is, looks Ai to me but could be wrong, either way. Kaare and a bunch of middle aged pros upset at social media calling out horrible people because it's bad for the craft of making comics...is this what you are talking about? Because it looks horrible.

I usually like to focus on people being bad rather than their art but since Kaare Andrews was on Millar's dogshit podcast talking about how cancel culture has made it so artists stopped evolving and trying new things, got to show how these people might just be full of shit excuses for their flaws.

Some people are upset he’s charging 20k and up for his higher end commissions but Lee is a multimillionaire and maybe one of the most famous living comic legend we have left, of course he can charge whatever the hell he wants. Also, his commissions have proven to be worth that and more.

That seems what they were going for in the new trailer but just something off about the visuals to me. Seems low budget and using some of the most recently overused horror tropes but I’d be happy to be wrong here. I love Hellboy and if this one bombs like the last one, could be over for adaptations.

Just saw the new Hellboy trailer and i hope its good but not looking that way. I kinda don't get how we get a Hellboy like this when Legend was cranking out this kinda stuff in the 80s. Damn...Hellboy but just steal the whole vibe of Legend, now that would be amazing.

People bitching about Jim Lee charging 20k for his largest commissions and then seeing this post about Bernie Wrightson’s piece selling for over a million. Do you think Bernie got a cut? Don’t know but do know how many artists used to sell their stuff for a few hundred only to see it now skyrocket.

The prices even some pros charge is criminally low and just a predatory part of how this industry has treated us but…I could rant about this forever. We deserve better but got to eat so, don’t blame people for charging so low, but I’ll always be angry about it.

Charles Vess rules so hard. Was thinking about what piece of art really made an impact on me as a kid to push me into my art style and though the Final Fantasy 3 booklet, or my few anime magazines are close, its got to be this Vess piece that was an insert of my first Heroes Con guide book.
