The GOP lines up to vote for whoever the GOP candidate is. They don't 2nd guess, sulk at home, or vote 3rd party. They want to win & keep Dems out of power & never miss an election. They began the fight to control SCOTUS in 1977. They know winners make policy; losers go home.

The qualities of the candidate often do not fucking matter if the people who really want that candidate to get elected are willing to play hardball, especially if the candidate is an incumbent. Maybe, just this once, we could learn this lesson from the GOP to save ourselves from true horror.

The big reason to avoid the uncredentialed ones? Especially any that claim to do marriage & family work? STRONG associations with the Adoption as Missionary Field set, the conversion therapy set, and forcible compliance for children. It’s not 100%, but reputable psych doesn’t do that shit.

A reputable psychologist or therapist will be DELIGHTED to talk about where they graduated from and what they specialized in, and you can check. (They’ll also have a provider number, which the non-quals will not have.)

Third: Credentialing is a state matter, so in some states, it’s perfectly fine for a minister or a bible school grad or someone with a certificate from a for-profit woo school to call themselves a religious therapist, a counselor, or an unlicensed psychotherapist. Yeah, this is bad.

ALSO: It’s unethical for a psychologist or mental health professional to sell you ANYTHING other than their professional time, including workbooks. It’s especially unethical to sell you supplements or the pro’s own book. Conflicting revenue streams are the sign of ethical problems.

Biden has tripped over his own tongue since childhood & there were headlines during his VP years that were constant variations on "Biden: Obama's Gaffe Machine." More people outside the punditocracy noticed that Trump lied throughout the entire debate while Biden spoke facts & that mattered.

In 2016 pollsters undersampled Republican voter turnout for Trump. This was not a limited thing, many pollsters did that. And then they started oversampling to not underestimate turnout again. It's the reason why Biden looks bad in the polling, and why Dems have won mid terms despite polling.

To be clear, this bill is nonsense, and he is straight-up calling for the murder of every Democrat in Congress. It is already illegal, as a matter of federal law, for non-citizens to vote in federal elections. This doesn't change that. What it does is a national ID mandate for voter registration.
