Bi-Boy, Political Science Junkie, improviser and Cohost of "Where There's a Willis, There's a Way". (he/him)
Playing Hitman for the first time and boy what a relief to be killing people just for the hell of it and not to support the US government or whatever (also I'm not paying attention during the story so if I am killing people for the US keep it on the down-low)

It is kind of a bummer when your absolute shit show of a workday happens on a Monday. It's just terribly inconvenient, and throws the whole week off. I'd take a bad Tuesday or Wednesday instead next time rather than a Monday!

Yeah yeah yeah, you switch the genders on Sleepless in Seattle and it's a stalker horror movie but that's old discourse. What we don't talk enough about is how Bill Pullman's character's worst trait is that he... has allergies???

been reading some research on the impact of Gaza on antisemitism. one of the more interesting findings is that while negative feelings toward Jews have ticked up among Palestinian sympathizers, it’s still not even close to the level of Islamophobia among Israeli sympathizers

Some reduce the 2024 campaign to a contest between two old men, but it's a choice of two slates of federal appointees who'll impact your life in a million ways.
Biden has staffed executive agencies with excellent choices who are doing good work. Trump will empower an army of Stephen Millers.

Just had subsequent moments yesterday where I:
a - remembered the existence of conferences,
b - remembered that I attended Northwest Creation Conferences multiple years with my family as a kid,
c - recalled bullshit,
d - realized "oh right, I'm an adult and I don't have to be a creationist anymore"

bro's bio says "Bible reader" which is interesting because you'd think a Bible reader would know the Apostle Paul famously never met Jesus and also there is no sermon on the "mound."

I feel like the I-have-eight-different-kinds-of-breakfast-cereal Jerry Seinfeld possibly had a better feel for the state of contemporary comedy than the 70-year-old-billionaire-grumbling-about-the-woke-left Jerry Seinfeld does.

I've bought DLC cosmetics for Deep Rock Galactic and Helldivers 2. Any game that seems to be worth more than I paid I'll find other ways to even things out. There was a time I could have considered tipping the creators of Overwatch but it's not 2016 anymore. This is insane

don’t need an AI to make art for me. i’ve got that covered. i enjoy it. i’m good at it. i’d like an AI that does my taxes and saves for retirement. but the guys in charge of AI don’t pay taxes, don’t have to worry about retirement but can’t make art. so that’s the only kind of AI we’re getting.

Trump sneaker sketch and the Liberty Mutual sketch were both funny. Decided to go watch the actual episode, and that opening monologue was bad. wtf was #SNL thinking? Crazy that he got through, especially when I'd love to be there on stage and I'd say zero R-slurs.

Something like this *might* work for a miniseries (rotating to a different person after each 30min episode) but I'm not gunning to go see minor variations 4 times or 4 unique biopics back to back. If each soundtrack/filmmaking style was completely different then maybe they'll get people in seats

Whenever I'm reading reviews on letterboxd, I'll inevitably come across a wild outlier (4/5 Star Argyle rating today). I'll look up that person's account, and they'll list their 5/5 masterpieces as 2001, No Country for Old Men, Harry Potter 8, Avengers Endgame and Captain America Civil War. 🙄

Actually most of the creative process is a wacky one so maybe I'm underselling how much worse other parts can be during the process.

As a creative, I can think of fewer worse things in the creative process than seeing a vision come together in your mind, and yet still find it too much of an uninspired slog to create.

saying a movie, actor or director got “snubbed” is the coward’s way out. you gotta name which less deserving nominee you’re kicking out to make room for your snub. put some skin in the game.

there's really no point in buying pre-filled bags of garbage. what you do is, you buy empty garbage bags and line your garbage can with them. every time you wind up with egg shells, old wrappers, orange peels, just chuck them in there! before long you'll have your own bag full of garbage
