Makes sense. They're one of the orgs that certifies the machines that are allowed to destroy classified documents, I'm guessing a lot of people just hand things over to the NSA for destruction.

Assuming this means a hundred million *pages* of documents per year, that's about a thousand standard printer paper boxes per week. If it's actual multipage documents, who tf knows. Are we sure the entire NSA isn't printing out their emails to read them?

One of the craziest things of my middle school years was making friends with someone who's dad worked in the NSA because he was an anti-conspiracy nut but would then say stuff like "oh yeah we pulped secret docs and made pizza boxes"
