Pet peeve: media reserves "far-right" or "extremists" for France, Germany, Italy, Brazil, etc., but will go with creative euphemisms such as "Hard-right Republican", "Conservative firebrand", etc. in the US.

I'm reading this excellent book. Dr. de Leon has a great quote from CNN cofounder Reese Schonfeld pointing out how legacy media chases this binary despite many viewers being so locked into their prejudice that they'll think it's biased anyway.
