We'd been up since six am, were nervous about needing to get home and relieve my parents from babysitting, and hadn't ever been conned like that in the US before. Never made that mistake again. I managed to sell it for 10% of what we'd paid right before 2008 (whew).

Learned it the hard way at the first timeshare presentation I went to with my then-husband hoping for outback dinner coupons. Presentation ended at 11pm and then they were "look at this offer, we'll meet you halfway but only today, offer expires at midnight" we bought the damn thing :(

Dear Lord. May my father, who refused treatment when his initial one failed and then stopped eating and drinking when he got really bad, haunt them day and night. He was a hardcore Republican though so idk if he'll agree to. (Prostate cancer. Implants didn't work. He lived another 3.5 years)

We know we don't have much time left so we've been spending a lot of time with America for its last birthday. Plenty of hugs, taking pictures. My niece is in film school, and got the camera out and interviewed it about what it was like growing up, just trying to record memories while we have them.

What if I'm an immigrant myself and didn't take US sixth grade civics? Was naturalized in 2003, studied for and passed the exam, forgot most of what I'd studied (pretty sure I couldn't name the first 13 states now if you put a gun to my head) but have good working memory and can catch up. Ok or no?

Oh absolutely, I gave birth to one of them. He expected a shrewd businessman and was extremely disappointed. Then you have my mom, who voted for him twice, but after J6 was "he lost, why isn't he accepting it" hope she dislikes him enough now (as she says she does) to not vote for him yet again.
