I've only read one Elm Street tie-in and it was Dream Dealers and only because it was written by Jeffrey Thomas of Punktown fame. I remember being impressed it was so good considering its status as tie-in. I also read two Friday the 13th ones and they were not as good

I started The House of Mirth this week and it's not a surprise to literally anybody that Edith Wharton is a master. Everything at the technical level feels so modern, even when the subject matter is carriages and calling cards. House of Mirth is only her second novel too! Outrageously talented

Knopf reissued some of his novels in the mid 2010s with some understated but effective covers. Never read them, but always meant to. Now it appears they're POD and overpriced (about ten dollars more than the standard trade paper price)
