Because for all the talk about "including us" there's a whole BUNCH of reasons why disabled people DON'T want to be "included", to be "adjuncts". We need to be at the *heart* of the building. We need to be its ROOTS. Because we have knowledge you lack. Ways of thinking and being that you lack.

I'd add a corollary to this thread, which is that there is nothing obliging you to have a reason to vote the way you vote. Reasons why people voted the way they did are theorised post-facto by pundits and politicians; in the polling booth you don't give a reason and you don't even need to *have* one

The core conceit of modern business is disrupt>spin>cash out. Disrupt some existing business by giving what it does away for free, usually by theft, spin it up as the next big thing for investment, cash out before the investment wave breaks. Nothing significant or lasting can be built like this.

As predicted, AI is making research worse. The Scopus CiteScore ranking of philosophy journals has 3 journals among the top 10 journals that are fake. They are AI generated, with fake authors, and cite each other extensively to achieve a top ranking.
