This is a good article to read and remember all the annoying people who said putting Trump on trial would somehow make him more powerful. He's losing his mind he has to sit there all day while a sketch artist draws him looking like Wimpy from the Popeye cartoons. www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...
The last time Trump was publicly humiliated like this and had to sit there quietly and take it was the WH Correspondents dinner where Obama roasted him, causing him to decide to run for president as revenge. But he's already running again, so what can he do for revenge now?
Whoa. What if the more famous cartoon artists all rotated through Trump court cartoon duty? Berke Breathed, Gary Larson, Bill Watterson, Jim Davis, Mike Judge. I'd love to see Trump through Garfield's eyes, for example.
Oh, it’s got to be giving him a tumor. Everyone paying attention to someone who isn’t him?! Now if only our media would focus on Gaza, Biden’s failure to grasp Michigan is lost, Elon Musk doing a Truth Social, any of the dozens of actual wars going on on 🌎, exponential militarization of police, etc.
This might be just a little projection: “None of these sources know what the hell they’re talking about and clearly have no access to any type of factual information. These are the types of losers who will try to peddle fantasy as fact because they live miserable existences.”
He was never supposed to be charged. If charged, he would never be arrested. If arrested, he would never see trial.
As it was once axiomatic for many people that Trump could never win, it became axiomatic for many of the same people that he could never lose. But reality doesn't work like that.
The thing is, no matter how talented an artist the court has, he still has to churn out representations of a dozy, clown-makeup-sporting senile obese fartbag.
It was largely going to depend on jurisdiction, judge, and the specific case. A case about January 6th brought in Florida could easily have wound up in front of a Trumpist judge treating it like the Beer Hall Putsch case.
This is not that, but it wasn’t an unfounded concern.
"IT MIGHT HAVE NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES!!!"
Not putting him on trial is guaranteed to have negative consequences. Let's try actually applying the "no one is above the law" slogan.
If you can't try, convict, and punish presidents it means someone is above the law.
