I don't know which is worse, the fact that the employers and politicians think allowing workers to sleep in their cars so they don't have to pay them enough to live in the city is acceptable, or the fact that the city residents are throwing a fit about not wanting them to live there at all.

Soooo they could build housing or repurpose abandoned structures to house people. Buuuuutttt letting people sleep in their cars is go for keeping the wealthiest taxes down.

oh good they're letting people sleep in their cars instead of just criminalizing them. I say this with immense disdain because like.... housing exists but oh no someone might not make a profit if we let people stay there this timeline is so fucked.

The fact that there are people against this - who want it to be harder to live in your car - is one of the most baffling things about America. We claim to be “free” but we also demand that anyone who can’t afford a house be put in a cage or in a hole in the ground.

Forty “safe” parking spaces, for two years. Woohoo. A 30-unit “affordable” housing project being built. As someone else notes, there are more than 1,000 AirBnB units offered for short-term, *expensive* rentals. I assure you, there are *far* more than 30-40 working people in Sedona.

Another rich town trying to fix a basic issue with a Band-Aid. As with so many places in the U.S., I wonder how many houses and apartments have been bought by out of state hedge fund outfits who jack up rents right away. Seems like something could be done about that.
