It is normal and human and absolutely okay to need to ask for help and support and care from others. Humans are social creatures who rely on each other. The idea that we can do it all alone without ever needing to ask for help just isn't realistic.

Suggestion for folks asking for mutual aid support (based on years of experience): There's no need to say you're embarrassed or ashamed or hate to have to ask. That's exactly how capitalism wants you to feel. And it wants you to reinforce the idea that asking for help is shameful.

Last I checked Powecoms are still one of the most highly rated KN95s & this is the best place to get them. They sell some colors individually wrapped if you prefer that. Good for handing out to people. (N95s protect better than KN95s but people are more likely to actually wear earloop masks.)

I think the thing that makes me angry, perpetually Is that yes, long COVID and ME and all these other chronic illnesses are devastating and we don't know how to treat them But adequate housing and support for things like bathing and ordering groceries can 100% help

Took ages for the house to feel aired out. Nurse had no obvious symptoms, was kind & professional w/ my mother (who also wore a fabric mask meanwhile) About 1.5 hours appointment, confined to the dining table area.

I asked her to wear a face mask but it was a part baggy one. I regret not giving her a kn95 Was masked only with a fabric one but staying in close proximity = my eyes were vulnerable. Open window & CR Box air filter running nearby. Not enough.
