Gonna have to reform the curricula a bit. Conlaw is now part of American History. Soviet studies is run by the law school. Journalism is now a minor in sport studies. Computer science is run by the business school, contains no programming, and business majors are dualed with "creative fiction"
STEM will have adjustments too: Biology is now taught by the Religion faculty, Math is now under PoliSci, and Climatology will be taught by the Surinamese Lit Professor, and weβre scheduling all the classes at night at the Ag Experiment Station seven hours away.
Everything damned thing I ever taught HS students about checks and balances is utter garbage now.
I have no idea how the material can even be presented now.
Public speaking course I took in college and later business writing course were both extremely valuable in business.
Most of my business fiction wasn't super creative, though
"The next version will ship in THIS quarter and be THAT fast"
did stretch the imagination a bit.
Sorry to disappoint, we don't do Soviet studies anymore. It is now part of the autocratic regimes subfield, and we are working on merging it with American Politics 101
Just a quick FYI β We disbanded the English and Comms departments as well as their majors since the board decided AI should be the norm. Very excited to get rid of those troublemakers and divert the reclaimed funds. By our estimate the savings might just cover the fall varsity athletics banquet!
